Swimwear to Suit A Long or Short torso

Essentially, these two body types of long torsos and short torsos, require the same solutions for finding flattering, stylish swimwear. Unfortunately it can be hard to find one piece swimsuits to fit these body shapes as they are generally either cut too long or not long enough! Plus, one solid block of colour on the torso, will draw attention to it, whereas two pieces such as bikinis and tankinis work better for elongating or shortening the body, as the break up of colour distracts the eye.

Go for a high cut swimwear bottom to elongate your legs and create a more proportioned look. Avoid boyshort swimwear bottoms as these shorten the leg and will make your body seem further out of proportion. If you have a short torso, go for a hipster bikini bottom to make your torso appear longer, whereas if you want to shorten a long torso, avoid hipster bottoms and go for a regular or high cut. Halternecks, and eye catching details on the swimwear top will draw the eye up and away from your torso, for a flattering effect.
