Lingerie buying tips for men

 

Following up from my last post, here is an idiot – proof guide to buying lingerie. If you don’t know your 34Cs from your double DDs and get flustered roaming the lingerie floors of big department stores, then here is a really simple guide to get lingerie, written by a man, for a man!

 

Part 1

Clueless/Beginner

“I really haven’t got a clue….” If you really don’t have any idea on size then you have three choices.

 

Firstly; guess. – Not a great idea, the chances are you’ll get it not just wrong but very wrong! This has a low success rate and could do more harm than good.

Secondly look at one of her favourite lingerie items and get the size from that, then browse and shop, but don’t mistake her for a porn star or you’ll be in the dog house!

 

Thirdly (this is the easiest), choose something that doesn’t need you to be so precise about the size such as a knicker or thong. Don’t try buying a bra or corset - you will get it wrong! Trust me, I’ve been there and done it myself. Instead, look for items that are in easy sizes such as “one size” which means that they stretch and will fit almost any shape.  Bracli and Sensualle are famed for their “one size” fits all designs, while Madame V also have a nice cheeky but sexy, silk knicker below.

 

Part 2

Some basic knowedge

“I think I know her size…..” OK for this is for you, you still don’t need to know the exact size as long as you can decide if she is a small (8-10), medium (10/12) or large (14) some of lines extend to extra small (8) and up to X Large (16) and XX Large (18). These items generally stretch a bit or are cut so you shouldn’t go too far wrong. We have some great brands that are sized in this way offering thongs, knickers, boy shorts, camisoles, and chemises.  Coco Box and Princess have a great selection.

 

 

You can also buy soft triangle bras (what’s that? It’s a bra which is manufactured in looser and less structured way so the fit is less critical, they are generally sold in S, M or L sizes) . You don’t need to know her exact size but you’ll need to know if she is a small medium or large.

 

 

 

 

Part 3

Expert

“I’m an expert…..” Great this wont take long then - if you know her dress size 10 12, 14 etc plus her bra size (34c, 36c etc) then we have a fantastic choice of lingerie items at BeCheeky.com.
